do you know any good sites for downloading good pics for pecs?

I need to get alot of clip art for aocial stories and making my pecs system. i need social and educational protocols. O.T. reference would be nice

As with the aforementioned statement, PECS are a specific system, so you do have to be careful when saying you are using PECS if you aren't. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with making and using your own pictures. I work at a preschool for children with disabilities, and we use PECS along with our own photos with our children. Digital cameras are great!! We take pics of the classroom, specific toys/games/activities the child likes, people (like therapists) they may see during the day, etc. This way you can really personalize the information for the specific child. Use a digital camera and take photos, then print them out and laminate. Attach to a key ring (for portability) or with sticky velcro on the back (to make charts).

You should maybe be warned that "pecs" is a registered trademark for a pictorial system. It's like "Kleenex" is a registered trademark for tissues. So, unless you've purchased the pecs materials you may want to refer to what you are doing as a pictorial system in order to avoid infringing on the copyright.
